Welcome to Amamaza Marketplace. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You may not share your account with others.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use.

2. Product Listings

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of their product listings.

  • All products must be described truthfully and accurately.
  • Prices must be listed in Rwandan Francs (RWF).
  • Images must represent the actual product being sold.
  • Amamaza reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms.

3. Prohibited Content & Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on Amamaza:

  • Fraudulent, counterfeit, or misleading listings.
  • Illegal products or services.
  • Hateful, discriminatory, or offensive content.
  • Attempts to manipulate search results or product rankings.
  • Collecting user data without consent.
  • Spam, phishing, or malicious activities.

4. Verified Traders

Trader verification is a voluntary program that helps build trust on our platform.

  • Verification requires payment of a one-time fee and submission of valid identification documents.
  • Verification status may be revoked if a trader violates these terms.
  • Verification does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of listed products.
  • Amamaza reserves the right to deny or revoke verification at its sole discretion.

5. Product Boosting

Boosted products receive increased visibility in search results and are listed ahead of unboosted products.

  • Boost fees are non-refundable.
  • A boost does not expire after a set period. The paid placement lasts until the product is sold or an Amamaza administrator removes the boost.
  • Ordering among boosted products is by the most recent boost first, so a boost bought earlier may be shown lower down.
  • Products violating these terms may be removed without refund.

6. Payments & Fees

All payments are processed through mobile money (MTN / Airtel Rwanda).

  • Payment must be made to the official Amamaza phone numbers provided on the platform.
  • Proof of payment must be uploaded for verification and boost requests.
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
  • Amamaza does not store payment card or mobile money PIN information.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Amamaza, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of Amamaza or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
  • Product images and descriptions remain the property of their respective sellers.

8. Limitation of Liability

Amamaza is a marketplace platform and is not directly involved in transactions between buyers and sellers. We are not liable for:

  • The quality, safety, or legality of listed products.
  • Disputes between buyers and sellers.
  • Losses resulting from use of the platform.
  • Service interruptions or technical errors.

9. Termination

Amamaza reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice. Users may delete their accounts at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes via email or platform notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
